2016 Rochester Bicycle Film Festival

  • 17 May 2016
  • 6:30 PM - 10:00 PM
  • The Little Theater, 240 East Ave

This year the theme of the Festival is "Celebrating Women in Cycling."  We will feature Kathryn Bertine's documentary Half the Road: the passion, pitfalls & power of women's professional cycling.  The film explores the inequity between women's and men's professional cycling, and is told from the viewpoint of Bertrine, who is herself a competitive woman cyclist as well as a highly regarded photojournalist.  Kathryn Bertine will join us via Skype for a discussion after the film, and local world cycling silver medalist Leslee Schenk Trzcinski will host the discussion in person.

In the tradition of the Rochester Bicycle Film Festival, we will also present a series of short films.  This year, these films will also support our theme of Celebrating Women in Cycling.

PLEASE NOTE START TIME CHANGE TO 6:30
Screening of the short films will begin at 6:30; the feature film will still begin after 7:00. If people are unable to make the 6:30 time, that is OK - we will still be screening short films at 7:00, and they won't miss the feature! We'll leave the house lights on low so that they can find a seat.

Wednesday, May 17 6:30 PM at Cinema Theatre, 957 South Clinton Ave, Rochester NY 14620: Event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/1039933606069153/
