This Safety workshop will address a number of issues that cyclists face including:
Safety of cycling relative to other activities
Where to ride
Kinds of cycling infrastructure
Laws and enforcement
Societal attitudes toward cycling
Encouraging people to cycle
How to cope with difficult situations
Bikes, brakes, helmets, mirrors, et cetera
There is no on-bike component to the workshop; it is designed for a small group of participants and will include time for questions and discussion.
The session begins at
7:00 p.m
. sharp, lasts for about 90 minutes, and is open to all. You do not need to be a member of the RBC to attend.
